Technology company, Truecaller, has announced its latest offering, ‘Truecaller Backup for Android’, an innovation that allows users to back up and restore phone contacts, call history, block list and settings to Google Drive.
The latest which is an advanced technology was concluded to improve consumers’ experience and address their yearnings.
In a statement issued by the Sweden-based company, Truecaller explained that the new feature would simplify user’s transition to a new phone or SIM card by securely backing up their contacts and settings that will get stored on Google Drive.
“Everyday, hundreds of thousands of Truecaller users are switching to new phones, getting new SIM cards, resetting their devices or in general, having to start their Truecaller journey anew. This inevitably leads to lost contacts, blank call logs and data gone missing.
“Hence, our latest initiative which has been one of the most highly requested features. With this offering, users can search for contacts whose details they haven’t saved but have previously communicated with. The Truecaller Contacts view contains all the contacts a user has communicated with either on call or text and makes it easier for them to keep in touch with temporary contacts without saving them in their phonebook, keeping it clean and efficient.
“Users also have the power to customise the frequency of backup which could be daily, weekly, monthly and on demand,” it said.
It revealed further that the backup file would be made available for Google Drive users, while plans are in the pipeline to expand the options to other backup storage in the nearest future.
