While the Lenovo Tab A10 is an attractive mid-ranged tablet on sight and boasts of some interest features, same cannot really be said for its inbuilt features and specification. Whatever the tab may have lacked however in these areas, it makes up for it in terms of cost and affordability.
Lenovo Tab A10 has a beautiful and sleek appearance. The midnight blue color is especially beautiful to behold. When held in landscape position (which appears to be the default position because of the positioning of the Lenovo logo at the back), the headphone jack, USB 2.0 micro port, volume rocker and power switches are all located on the left side edges.
With a 10-inch display and at 0.975kg, the tab weighs a bit heavily on the hand when held.
Lenovo Tab A10 has a 10-inch, 1280 x 800 which we consider average at its best. Considering the size of the screen, the display is less impressive and would not impress those who hope to watch HD movies or play high-resolution games on it. This probably should not be a surprise however considering that enjoying such benefit may require parting with some additional money.
Lenovo Tab A10 is powered by a MTK 8382 QC 1.3GHZ processor which is average for its category. We however feel that this could have least been well complemented by a 2GB RAM.
The tablet comes with a 1GB RAM which is average as there are smartphones that boast of something larger. This implies that the tab would only be suitable for less memory hugging apps and software. Sadly, I will not recommend playing memory-intensive games on the tab despite its screen size.
The tab comes with Android 4.4 (KitKat). However, hoping that the manufacturer will provide future upgrade to it may be a tall dream.
The Lenovo Tab A10 volume has a good audio quality even though in terms of its maximum volume, we do wish it could have been better. Considering the size of the screen, one may be tempted to share the screen with others when watching digital contents like movies and videos recording. One might be disappointed however to realize that at maximum volume and without the use of an earphone, the audio volume may prove inadequate.
The tab comes with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The available space however after all the preinstalled systems apps is too small that based on our experience, relying solely on the tab’s internal memory will be grossly insufficient. Thankfully though, the tab accepts an MicroSD card of up to 32GB.
We have not particularly been impressed with the tab’s camera. A primary 5 MP and a secondary 2 MP is average at its best.
