Power Transmission in Nigeria Hits All-Time High

The Management of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on Tuesday announced that it has attained a new electricity transmission peak of 4545MW through its national network.

This is the first of such feat since Nigeria began its struggle against epileptic power supply.

According to a statement signed by the General Manager, Public Affairs, Seun Olagunju, the latest peak was achieved at 21.45hrs on Monday.

The previous power transmission peak was 4517MW and was attained on 23rd December, 2012.

TCN further assured that it will continue to work towards enhancing its power wheeling capability and reliability of the network to be able to deliver more quality electricity from the Generation plants to the Distribution companies nationwide.

This is good news. Nigeria Consumers hope this effort us sustained.
