Payporte Offers Nigerians Free Internet Access

One of Nigeria’s online shopping portal, Payporte, has unveiled its free internet give away service in Nigeria, with the aid of internet web browser brand, Opera Mini.

Payporte is sponsoring 100,000 days of free internet every month for six months and the package also comes in opera sponsored web pass, which is an opportunity to enable someone sponsor another person’s data.

This service is available to hundreds of thousands of Nigerians on the Airtel network.

Speaking at the launch of this service in Lagos, Managing Director, Payporte, Bassey Eyo the company is partnering Opera mini because it is the best technology to make this happen. “We are working with big brands of the telecommunications companies to help monetise their data. We view internet access as a universal right. It is also a way of reinforcing the Payporte platform and also, helping in internet penetration. The approach is most innovative.”
