Ibadan Disco needs N30bn for prepaid meters

The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) says it needs about N30 billion to procure pre-paid meters for electricity consumers  in its area of business operation, says the The chairman of the IBEDC, Mr. Tunde Ayeni, during an advocacy visit on planned tariff increase by the electricity company to Kwara state.

Appealing for understanding and cooperation, Ayeni enjoined electricity consumers to ensure regular payment of bills to ensure provision of more pre-paid meters in its area of coverage. He said that the company needs more resources to enable it stabilize “for future quality service delivery.”
