Electricity: Angry customers lodge 47,127 complaints in 2015 – NERC

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) said customers lodged 47,127 complaints within the fourth quarter of  2015, indicating high dissatisfaction with the 11 Distribution companies (Discos).

NERC acting Head, Dr. Anthony Akah, said this at a training session on customer complaints handling for staff of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), at Keffi, Nasarawa State.

He charged the  Discos on reducing the high incidence of customer complaints saying, “It is critical that Discos should be alive to their duties of prompt resolution of complaints to ensure improved customer service satisfaction.
